What Changed
Beyond the Classroom

Digital skills are the gateway not the destination. Our programmes help women build confidence, gain qualifications, access further education, explore employment and take greater independence into everyday life.

What We Learn Changes
What We Do

We listen to women, test new approaches, learn from evidence and improve each next step. What we learn through our programmes doesn’t stay in a report, it changes how we deliver and what we build next.

Who we reached?

The women behind
the numbers

The programme reached deep into underserved women from South Asian communities who had been out of the workforce, in many cases for years

The barriers behind the numbers
Many women we work with face overlapping barriers including digital exclusion, caring responsibilities, limited English, low confidence, health challenges and economic disadvantage.

A Story of Confidence and Opportunity

After 11 months out of work, Harooj joined the Digital Gateway into Employment programme to build her digital skills, prepare for interviews, and regain the confidence to return to employment. Today, she works part-time as an NHS Receptionist, showing how the right support can open new opportunities and create lasting change.

“I feel content, I feel happy. Finally, what I’ve learnt has come to use. I’m not just a stay-at-home mum; I’m a mum and I’m working at the same time. I’ve learned that I can do it.”

— Harooj Sana Imam, Digital Gateway Graduate & NHS Receptionist
